(1 edit)

LETS GO SPEEDRUN

Beach Car, Tulip finds a cat who claims to know the conductor trying to sell a broken pipe marketed as a "donut holer" to a dude made out of water named Randall (voiced by Rhys Darby). She asks the cat to talk to the conductor to get Tulip off the train, the cat agrees but she asks for One-One as payment. Tulip then realizes that she doesn't want to sell One-One so she enlists the help of Randall to get him back. (note: the cat is weirdly interested in One-One)

NEXT EPISODE GO, The Corgi Car, Tulip tries to speed through the cars (not making much progress on her number going down) and makes it to a place called Corginia and meets Atticus, king of the Corgis, who offers her a nice sunbeam to lie in, Tulip says she just has to get to the exit. Shadow monster shows up on top of the hills, shadow monster turns out to just be a little spider- PSYCH the monster is real, and it's not a monster, it's a machine, this is the Steward, it's stealing glowing blue orbs, Tulip fights it off, Atticus joins the gang to get revenge for his Corgi kingdom that was attacked by the Steward.

NEXT EPISODE GO, The Crystal Car, little crystal man says to open the door you have to sing an emotional or important song, Atticus tries singing the song of his people (he howls) and One-One tries singing the song of his people (that dial-up internet sound) when both fail because the crystal can only recognize actual words Tulip tries to sing multiple songs, love songs, breakup songs, sad songs, just any song that has an emotion behind it, none work. The crystal man is like "your song, not my song, your heart, not my heart" (idk why but that line... made me not okay, after hearing it I was just like never okay again, also the crystal man can't speak so he said all of this charades style which just... makes it worse)  so Tulip is like "oh, it has to mean something to me personally." and so she sings a song she used to sing on road trips with her parents and it's not at all an emotional song it's Word Up by Little Mix, but it means something to Tulip and it's part of her personal life so it works and Tulip gets the exit. I'm so not okay, this entire show is just not okay, I love it, but, damn, why would you hurt me like that.

Next is The Cat's Car... THIS EPISODE WAS SO NOT OKAY LIKE BRO BRO BRO WTF BRO WTF

So The Cat's Car. Tulip ends up in The Cat's car, yk the one that tried to take One-One, and the cat shows Tulip a tape of her own memories claiming it will help her on her leave the train, so Tulip watches her tape, and she basically gets transported into her own memories.

She sees happy memories of her having fun with her friend or singing Word Up on a road trip with her parents, or even going to DolphWorld, a marine park place. These all seem like normal happy memories, until it gets to one memory... Tulip is at home and she sees herself go into the living room, there's an ad on tv for a "donut holer" which is "certainly not a scam!" as Atticus, the advertiser, says. She then looks over at herself sitting in front of a couch and placing a cover on seemingly nothing... there's an indistinct and muffled talking noise as Tulip's memory sits eerily still with an unmoving smile on her face. Tulip tries to hear what the muffled talking is and the memory starts glitching.

Tulip retreats into another happy memory, but once again something isn't right with it, this time it's her at a table with both her parents and all of them wearing "family 4 ever" shirts and the memory is eerily enthusiastic and all their smiles in the memory are unnaturally big, the memory isn't real, it's a fake happy memory to make it seem like everything was happier then, Tulip runs and suddenly static starts taking over her body as she panics and questions what's going on and why her memories aren't right.

She's back in DolphWorld and... this wasn't a happy memory. DolphWorld wasn't a good marine park at all, it was cheap and bad, and Tulip couldn't even see as she needed glasses, her parents had also been fighting. DolphWorld was a horrible memory... she's back in the living room of her house... the ad on the TV isn't supposed to be there, it's not a real ad. The real ad was Harry the Bike Guy, and he says "it isn't a sham, I am!" she wasn't placing a cover on nothing, she was covering her dad who was sleeping on the couch and crying... the static retreats.

She's back at the dining table, this time, it's a memory of them telling Tulip about the divorce, the memory is horrible altered and the room is on fire and her parents turn into demons as she cries... Tulip fixes the memory and remembers what REALLY happened... her parents are calmly talking to her... trying to let her know gently and trying to be sensitive about how she might feel... Tulip says she's okay when they ask her, once again, she's denying being upset about it, her parents try to talk to her, but she's closing off... she snaps at them and blames them for the divorce claiming that things were fine before... no one else was messing with Tulip's memories... she was.

Her "happy" memories are just proof that her parents weren't happy together. The static fully retreats and Tulip goes back into the real world, exiting her memories. She gets angry and puts her glove back on deciding that she won't look at her number at all, once again refusing to deal with her problems and refusing to acknowledge that she's not okay. She then leaves the cat's car and the episode ends.

...this episode literally... broke me... and there's still 5 more episodes this season... oh boy

Episode five is painful holy shit

Yeah no, I'm not gonna be okay after the crystal mans quote either

CORGIIIII

we keep one-one. That's FINAL.

so... now that we've all had time to let that soak in, let's continue! I love the energy we've created here in the office today.

So episode 6, The Unfinished Car. The gang gets to a train car that seems normal enough, but One-One starts acting weird when they enter. Tulip initially thinks it's a gravity car cause the gravity changes as she's under some upside down stairs so that the gravity is upside down. When Tulip asks One-One what's wrong, One-One says that the car is broken, that HE broke it. Before she can ask what he means, turtle royalty appears to greet them, so Tulip instead calls it the "gravity turtle" car. Atticus tells Tulip that they should stay in the car a bit longer so he can talk to the Turtle King dude and Tulip agrees. They see a college that makes Tulip change it again to "gravity turtle college" car?

One-One seems very distressed and he gets more and more distressed as they walk. He's upset cause the houses don't have walls and they're supposed to have walls. Tulip says they've seen weirder in other cars and One-One remarks on how those cars "weren't broken" but this one is? One-One runs off to try and "fix" the car. Tulip says if it bothers him that much then she'll help, but it soon turns out that their "help" only hurt these turtles as they have actually adapted to live with the missing walls and jam in the middle of the streets and broken physics, it became a part of their daily life that made things much easier for them, and they were okay with the "problems" that One-One "fixed"

One-One doesn't realize this though and we see him re-arranging glowing blue orbs in the ground as everything in the car starts breaking and floating. One-One says again that the car is broken, that it's his fault, that he... will "fix" everything. As he says this, oh shit wait I forgor to mention that One-One is split into because he's literally two, there's Sad One and Glad One, names are self-explanatory but basically they are the same person while also not being the same person, it's complicated, anyway it's at this point that One-One's voices, Sad One and Glad One sync up to one, as he says that he'll fix everything. Tulip assures One-One that it's not his fault, that he can't do anything about it, and that these turtles are happy the way they are. One-One then realizes his mistake and puts the blue orb back. Atticus says he'll bring over a Corgi repair team to fix the car, by that he means break everything One-One "fixed" and they leave the car. The episode ends there.

Idk why I decided 2 am was a perfect time for this I'm going to sleep, see you in the morning.

HEY HEY HEY SORRY FOR THE WAIT Things TM HAVE BEEN KEEPING ME (school and extremely low motivation)

GREAT STUFF ANYWAY JUST RQ BEFORE I CONTINUE DO YOU CURRENTLY FROM WHAT IVE TOLD YOU HAVE ANY THEORIES ABOUT HOW THE SEASON WILL END

IT'S ALL GOOD DON'T WORRY ITS OKAY

NO THEORY'S I'M SORRY

(1 edit)

i was asleeeeeeeep ANYWAY

So the Chrome Car our next episode. I'll do this quick cause I have horror movies to watch and inktober drawings to do, especially since I missed yesterday due to, like I said ✨extreme lack of motivation✨

The gang make it to a train car where everything is made of chrome. Like a skating rink made of mirrors, a vain people's skating rink (words I stole from Tulip). Tulip tries to open the door and, uh oh, it's locked. Tulip's reflection casually just starts talking, that's normal, and she's like "hey, we gotta switch, I need to open the door with you as my reflection and then we switch back so you can leave." Tulip agrees and so they switch and open the door, oh also Mirror Tulip, Lake we'll call her, is made of chrome when she enters the real world, but anyway they open the door and Tulip is like "cool, so now we switch back and then I leave!"

But suddenly, Lake is like "PSYCH I'm not letting you leave, I'm leaving and trapping YOU as MY reflection, IDIOT. I can finally be free! I don't have to be forced to be you and live your life anymore, I can be my own person!" but then Mirror One-One called ig the reflection police or something, they're called the flecs. So they arrive and they're like "time to kill a teenager(Lake)!" and Tulip is like "WAIT WHAT NO DONT KILL HER" (oh also, they call "defective", as they put it, reflections "slivers") so she runs off, and she finds Lake trying to leave. But wait, there's no reflective surfaces outside the car, and a reflection can't exist without something to reflect into. So she can't leave.

She sits down, defeated, and Tulip sits next to... well basically next to her, reflected in a chrome cube that's next to her, anyway she sits and she's like "hey, maybe I can help, just talk to me dude" so Lake is like "oh that's funny coming from the professional "talking about my feelings" avoider. You literally ignore texts and pretend you don't hear people just because you don't wanna talk about your feelings or admit when you're not okay." So Tulip is like ":(" and says that alright maybe she should stop avoiding her emotions, maybe she should stop running from admitting that she's not okay or that something is wrong, but isn't that just more reason for Lake to talk to her, seeing how Tulip turned out not talking to people.

Tulip says she doesn't want the flecs to hurt Lake, so Lake is like "idc, I can't leave anyway, I don't even have a name, I'm still nothing, I'm still just your reflection." and Tulip is like "nooooo :( I'll help you, but we have to switch back for it to work" Lake agrees and uh...

One-One talks about melting the flecs way too casually... but yk whatever, moving on, oh also the flecs are terrifying chrome beings who wear even more terrifying SKIN SUITS. Tulip and Lake run to the other door and Tulip pulls out her pocket multi-tool which has a mirror that Lake reflects in, making her her own reflection. Lake switches with herself making her A REAL BOY (also her hair gets cut off by the sander which is what they were gonna use to kill her), and Lake is free.

They escape and enter the next car, a uh... work... business... uh... a pencil car idk, anyway Tulip de-taches the mirror from the rest of the multi-tool. Lake takes off the glove that Tulip has on (the one covering her number) and says she doesn't need it, and neither does Tulip. She says what the train thinks doesn't matter, she controls her own life. Tulip tells Lake good luck, whoever she turns out to be, and they go their separate ways.

Outside of the train, it's quiet, the wind is blowing and... Tulip looks at her gloved hand, takes a deep breath, and pulls the glove off. She sees her number is going down, and it goes all the way down to 3. The simple action of removing her glove got her number all the way down to 3. Like the number of episodes left.

Also keep Lake in mind. Important.

Ooo inktober!!

REFLECTION POLICE

chrome skinwalkers essentially

#freedomforlake

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I TOTALLY FORGOR THIS OMG

hey rq, if any of what I'm saying seems at all interesting to you, you should watch the show instead of listening to me talk because there's a lot that I left out and a lot of funny jokes and cool scenes that you should really see for yourself. The scene where Tulip goes into her own memories is such a cool scene and no words can properly describe it or give the same effect actually watching it does. Only if you want to ofc, I'm just saying.
