Are there any known issues running it on Mac OS? For some reason it simply doesn't open after installing it

What worked for me, was to give all the necessary accesses with this terminal line. After allowing the "run anyway" in system settings, it should work without a problem.
chmod -R 755 /Path/To/Your/App/fearassessment.app
