Never been in a game jam before! When am I allowed to start?

Hi EmilyPuppet! Glad you're here.

The jam begins in about three weeks on on September 29th at midnight (NZST/UTC +12), and you can see a live counter on the game page here: https://itch.io/jam/watch-this-game.

When the jam begins, the "control scheme" will be revealed, which will determine alot of your game design decisions. But feel free to brainstorm ideas and converse here before then.

The jam is very relaxed, and allows a month for development before the submission deadline, so take your time and have fun! Hopefully, we get some good discussions going, and more designers get interested in the history of and approach to the LCD game, which I think is sometimes overlooked.
