Hello! I heard about Unity too! I don't know if they will keep with that decision or change it back, as the community's feedback was mostly negative. But I hope they do change. I wonder about the future of many games and developers.
You shouldn't blame yourself for teaching this platform. You couldn't have predicted this outcome. And I know everyone would understand that and still feel grateful for the knowledge.
