good art and interesting premise, but I feel that it truly would have been better if the main character were human, the main character actually being a wolf or dog or whatever doesn't really add to the horror, in fact I would go so far as to say it takes away from it. some of the best horror is good because our mind can find something to relate to or latch on to, so if we feel that we as a human are being treated like dogs we feel mistreated or demeaned, but if we feel that we ARE dogs and are being treated as such we feel prideful, also just the fact that the MC is a dog could be a good artistic choice, but only for like an intro, and don't make it seem like a fanfic, this is a horror game and shouldn't be taken so lightly. the monster design was great btw.

I should also say that I'm not trying to be mean, I think you are very talented and this has huge potential, also not saying you need to rewrite your whole game or anything, just trying to give some pointers if you're open to them.

Perhaps, after you've played the full game in the future, you will think differently about my choice to have a vulnerable, small creature surrounded by horrors he knows almost nothing about. Try expanding your ideas on horror a little, because unfortunately, the story is not about you putting your feet in Basil's paws. This is his and Dove's story,  and there is still so much to unravel beyond the demo.  I don't expect the main character's position to be everyone's cup of tea,  but I quite disagree that it adds nothing to the horror.

Thank you for your compliments, horror is quite a passion of mine, but the point of it is not always to make you terrified. Thank you for taking the time to play my demo and share your thoughts! Also i've read fanfics better that printed novels, so please don't look down on them.

I'm gonna replay your game again real fast, I remember not really being able to deal with it for very long which at the time I thought was because of the main character choice, but I think may have been more about the overall feel to the story, which was distinctly lacking in horror for me and felt more like a tragedy
