i appreciate the comment a lot, thank you! it means a lot to me that you even remember this dumb little project

its hard to roughly estimate how long it took to make this, given that it flip flopped between different projects and my general lack of experience as a game developer—if we counted how long it took ever since i initially made the project file, around 2 or 3 years, but realistically when i began working on it full time day in day out, took around 9~ months id say, a lot of it just learning the engine

and yes i do plan on uploading all of my future games on itch.io, even if i was to platform to steam; i would continue to upload my projects on itch.io as its a platform i wholly believe in and stand for

infact, im nearing the completion of a demo for my next game which will be on here real soon! maybe around next month or so, a project ive been working quite tirelessly on for the past few months—its not even remotely the same genre as heart project, but thats just who i am as a developer—i like making different games, not riding off things ive already done, but keep an eye out for it if youre interested, thank you!

edit: completely forgot to mention! my inspiration for making it was simply because it was a game i always wanted to make, it was in a way a dream game even if heart project isn't very good! i always wanted to make a short little experience like this, i remember using so many terrible "easy fps game maker" engines as a kid with zero understanding of coding to make something like this, and now with actual experience, i was able to make it!

I'll be looking forward to that then! Thanks for taking the time to reply.

P.S: I hope you have an area dedicated to 'developer commentary' stuff again. (it's fun to see what happened during development)
