This games art style is great, the fact that you have managed it within the constraints of 64 pixels and in the time frame makes it even more impressive! 

The character movement and attacks feel smooth, as do the enemy movements. I really like the touch of your melee chopping down the grass as you fight enemies. This is a really cool game and think you have done a great job with this. :)

for the melee , it's a reworked  (and much simplified) version of the one a game I made before so it' s not my first try, I hope it' s not "cheating" too much... I'm actually surprisngly happy with the grass stuff too :D, it's totally from every 2D Zelda games, but I did't realize it could make the (huge) Hitbox super readable  witch feels kind of nice indeed

It definitely captures that retro feel and does make combat feel nice. I don't think its cheating, you are using past knowledge to build on here, its what I imagine every dev with experience does and I hope to do now that I have dipped my toes into this for future jams! :)
