I was able to play this because of Mckena, thanks to her and her networking for showing me this game.
Yes I played throughout the game and tested some things to see if there are bugs in specific areas and whatnot
Overall I love the game and love the concept. Keep it up fellas and keep working hard, from one coder to another
personal peeves:
-jumping always looks like it will miss. increase jump height
-Music is too loud on boot up
-add subtle music to the intro, so we don't boot up the game and get ear clapped
Bugs:
-the save button does not work, especially for sound settings
-the "collectibles" sit inside the body sometimes for a short amount of period before disappearing
-the first boss battle glitched out on me because I lost all my lives while hitting it, and his animation kept resetting I couldn't do anything and had to close the game through alt+f4, could not even press ESC
-I have to spam E to pick up another weapon and most of the time it just throws the weapon (can just remove the weapon throw from E and keep it on shift)
recommendations:
-there is no "controls" section in the menu
-remind us what button "dodge" is when we buy it
-remind us in the frog tutorial what button throw is or have it displayed next to the objective at the top left
-additional features with quests, side areas, secret waves of enemies, secret weapons
compliments:
-love the art style
-I love the concept of hamster vs cats
-like the respawning, its quick
-like the auto camera turn feature
-like the ricochet that the weapon throw does
-like the intro, very well done and looks good
-I love the controller compatibility too
-revive me I got a ray gun
