how am i supposed to defeat the big one? im stuck on it and keep getting caught while trying to reload.

Shoot His head, Until he drop, and keep shooting the head because there's phase 2.

Or you can save ammo by having the boss miss and shoot the core not wasting as much ammo but more difficult to do.
