- yeah, little buddy has been dead for a while but just hasn't realized it and doesn't remember dying. The ship caught the plague and the whole crew died at sea. So it ended up as a ghost ship that never made it to shore and just kept drifting with the currents with whatever ghosts were on board. I believe the people at the table took some of those as old age medicines, but at a certain point, they did use poison to off themselves. They poisoned the food in the storeroom to try and get rid of the rats, but it was too late by then. They were all sick and only a few crew were left. They didn't want to go slow so they sat down together, prayed, poisoned their own meal, and then x_x - little buddy is a rat ghostie 🐀 who doesn't remember he's dead and is disturbing the rest of the crew's ghosts as he goes around waking them up. 👻
