Very difficult, especially since the king doesn't stay behind the kingsguard. You can't back away from the monsters quickly approaching you because your king doesn't start moving till you've gone a decent bit backwards and by then he's dead.
Thank you for that feedback, i will implement your insight as i wanted to continue to improve this game after the jam.
