Without rerolling the game feels to random with the pieces I get, but using the reroll, it makes it to easy :(
Other than that, I enjoyed the game. Looks good, sounds good and plays good!
Thanks for playing! Yeah I agree with you, the current way rerolling is implemented is kind of a band-aid fix for how random the tracks are that I meant to eventually replace. But as you see, I couldn't come up with a better solution during the time I had lol.
Thinking about it now, I think the game would probably work a lot better if A) you could rotate pieces, and B) each track "piece" took up multiple tiles (So like S curves and stuff). That's probably at least a little closer to a better system.
Another option could be having some sort of cooldown on the reroll button or the player have to place at least X tracks before being a to reroll.
If you do continue to work on this, another addiction could be having some pieces affect the train. Example: Slow the train down to allow the player more time to place other tracks.
