Why? Steam is a drm hellscape at the moment. Its not bad, not at all. And I have infinite respect for Valve and Gabe Newell. With that said its still allows for anti consumer behaviour from devs from forcing censorship in an update that users are forced to install to literally adding in third party launchers sometimes almost a decade after a games release.
Itch.io along with GOG and Zoom are the only platforms that are completely DRM free.
