Beautiful game, I’m so impressed that you put this all together in 48 hours!
A+ over-the-top voice acting, and I loved the saucer sound effects!
Game would be perfect with just a few tweaks, imo
Three suggestions:
- I think if the saucer always came to a stop aligned with the grid, and maybe had a bit less momentum, it would be a lot easier to pick up buildings.
- An indicator of exactly where you are in 2D space (like a targeting laser for the tractor beam) or a straight-down shadow could help with navigating.
- I noticed that the ground would indicate where the disaster will next destroy buildings, but because they were on opposite sides of the map, there was a lot of going back and forth to check, even zoomed out. Maybe some kind of indicator over the buildings in imminent danger (with arrows on the edge of the screen if they are out of view to point towards them) would help with prioritization.
