Edit : Quicker than expected, I've changed that in the 0.5.2.
Pills give you bonus score who can be used to the shop that you have after each level, in those shop you will be able to buy gadget and upgrade them, but it's true it's just a little game made by a beginner. I will try to create a global scoreboard for the next update to give an objective for the players.
