I like the idea for the game, and its relatively simple to understand. However, I could never defeat the hero, and the game kept going on seemingly forever. Perhaps make some kind of way to beat the hero? Overall though, nice job!

We considered the idea of defeating the hero whenever the user reached a certain amount of souls managed, but, to be honest, we could not implement that feature on time for the jam submission and we decided to make it an endless game and keep track of the souls vanished on the score so the players can always try to beat their own record.

Maybe on future versions we could see implemented a way of beating the game. Thanks a lot for your comment!
