always take the healing fairy first (green arrow), try to stack tentacle plants (slime + sapling) together for healing, add a couple dmg buffing units to the stack (any imp derivates work). 

If possible, make one or two dark magicians. (necromancer + shaman), it's the stronger unit in the game and can easily take out the bosses if properly supported by healing units.

Watch out for this bug: After beating one of the fairies, your troops won't target another one unless you move them closer to the new target. You can easily avoid this bug, just be aware of it.

phase 2 starts whenever one of them is at 50% hp, so you can't really kill them before it, that being said, it's still more efficient to focus the healer on the first phase and it will likely die first on the second phase.

Ah ok thanks. I managed to get them after a while, but it's neat to know how some of the bosses worked.

I will say the only issue I've had with the game is how much trial and error is needed to learn new things. I think it would be neat to have a sort of hint system when it came to certain creatures, but other than that the game is pretty fun and relatively challenging with pretty decent rewards for beating the game
