To open the blue castle, you need to go up to the 3rd floor. The elevator at the first location moves on 3 floors. The blue key is located on the third floor. If you don't pick up the blue key, then the blue lock will never open. It is impossible to open a door with a lock without a corresponding key of the lock color.
