Getting started

Here is an example of a typical Warrior Build. STR being the Main Stat followed by END. Feel free to switch the points a little bit around. Starting with INT 4 may be helpful. But let's face it: END/DEF is still the KING at the moment (version 0.29e) in term of reliability. END allows you to survive and make your healing spells (and indirectly your potions) more efficient. Just keep also in mind: AGI 5+ is need to beat the first Boss on his first encounter, with the help of Savescumming of course. STR 8+ allows your MC to beat Hakan and Tomahawk in armwrestling, After the succesful "savescummed" Bossfight we get 5 Lv-Point; that's just enough to gain one stat point right away.

With high STR and AGI it takes around 6-18 minutes to win the fight with Savescumming. If both your STR and AGI are low, it's not worth it, because it will take a lot of time. STR 5 + AGI 5 was the lowest Stats i have ever beaten the Boss and it was a huge pain to do so. [Edit:] It took me around 30+ minutes with bad luck.

Save when the Monster misses you. Reload when the Monster hits you. When you land a powerful crit you may also save. After you beaten the Boss i highly recomend to creat your first "Important Save". Allowing you to play from the start of the game without replaying the fight. Caro implemented a item that does allow you to respec your MC. So there is no reason anymore to start the game with a physical weak MC.

The Map for the first few Days. Do NOT meet Nauxus at the Swamp! We will meet the Bull Tribe first!

After the first Encounter with the Boss, talk to the People in the Tavern, Fullfill Chet's Quest to hunt down some slime. Once the Quest is done, Snow returns. Buy the pocketwatch, at least one healpotion and potentially beer and jerky. Don't go for Hakan Alcohol Quest now. We will defeat the Tree Monster much later without the help of Chet's Goo-Armor in oder to gain another 2 Lv-Points!

After the Second Bossbattle our HP is very low, isn't it? I recommend to buy stuff from Chet, Beer from Snow and Jerky from Witer until your purse is empty. After that, lose a bunch of fight against the slime to rise your corruption to 15. Or ignore that step and get handled by demons later.

Use the evening and the early night to collect sticks and stones in large numbers without getting disturbed by Ghosts. We will need them later. Upgrade your Sword whenever possible. the first Upgrade only needs Stones and Slime.

Do not forget about Meko in the basement. [Edit:] After Eyvind defeated the Boss, he can talk to Snow. He gives you a quest to get some alcohol from the basement. Meet Meko and talk to him. Then walk back to Snow and give him the alcohol/Rum.

After the Bossfight we can search for the Bull Village. Explore the Waterfall until you find a note:

Welcome to the Bull-Road. We will spend a lot of time here to level up our Hero by fighting young Bull Warriors and Slimes. Once you rescued Thane , the most adorebull adult Character in the game, you can solve his Quest right away if you like. But do NOT follow him into the Bull village until......

... we have beaten the two young Bull Warrrior who are on guarding their Village. Reward: Another Lv-Point! [Edit:] If you have been leveling by beating Slime and Bull-Warrior, Eyvind should be around level 6-10.

You can go to the Bull village right away, but i prefer to gain exp, gain money and solve Witer's NIghtmare Quest first.

On Day 6 we can help Witer with his Sleeping-Problem. Talk to Witer, Snow and Chet severals times: "Ask about Witer". After Witer opens up, visit Meko. Meko tells you about Witer sitting in the Basement at 3.00.

Find Witer at exactly 03:00. (I won't use "a.m" and "p.m.". Just like Imperial System; it's an outdated and inefficient tradition/writing.)

Your Hero should be at full MP. Tipp: By Leaving and re-entering the taven without leaving the area you pass 5 minutes. Wake up Witer, talk and go outside to run into a Ghost. Attack once, and Escape right after. Speakwith Meko to learn Holy Fist. Go back to the Ghost and destroy him. If you meet Witer at exactly 03:00 you can do this within a single night. GZ
