The art looks great. I like the gameplay. I wished I could use my crab's claws to cut down the spikes since I am not sure how to position a barrel on top of a spike on a barrel higher than I can jump. Cool idea.

Really fun submission, congratulations! :D

I like the core gameplay: it's simple - but not trivial - and opened to many strategies. I loved to position the little crab to build pillars of barrels, and then try to climb that: it's satisfying! I also appreciated that the player has control over the barrels falling down, and thus the resulting situation - bad or good  - it's all player's fault. That's good game design :)

With that in mind, the spikes felt... Unnecessary and frustrating :( They bring chaos, which helps the replayability,  but most of the time they just ruin player's strategy. Plus, if I intended correctly the game mechanics, spikes can only be destroyed by a barrel, but to place a barrel you need to be under the same column, but you cannot stay on columns where there are spikes! They kinda break the game, from what I perceived, turning it into a wait for the whole scene to be covered in spikes. Maybe, by making them temporary and/or more deterministic, you could balance the mechanics :)

That is - of course - just my opinion, and I hope this comment turns out to be constructive. In general, I really enjoyed the game, and I'm pretty proud of my second place on the leaderboard :P

Great job, congrats!

This is fun! I really like your interpretation of the rain theme. Love that you actually implemented leaderboards for this, that's a great touch!

Moving around is pretty difficult as you can't jump over a single spike without gaining height. It's pretty challenging to keep a consistent playstyle since the spikes spawn randomly. But I really liked finding strategies for placing the barrels.

I actually added spikes to add randomness to the game since falling of barrels was too predictable. However you are right about the jump since some other players gave me that feedback also, maybe increasing it would make it better. I would look at that probably after rating period is over. Thanks very much for the feedback. :)

Overall its a funny little game! There is funny music too :D Somehow when moving it seems to start playing some sound over an over again each frame, which is kinda distracting.
One thing I noticed: When jumping at a barrel that has already falling down, you die. I dont think thats intended :D
