Wish this was capable of running on windows 8.1
How can't it work on windows 8.1? My windows is a little older than yours, windows 8. Yet it's capable of playing it in my windows.
its probably the parts in the laptop that are not capable of running it.
[Probably not the version of windows just the parts in it aren't compatible.]
[Not like that matters I got another laptop now that Is better than that one so I was capable of playing it.]
