Glad you liked it, we wanted it to have a story and the boss might to be affected by your powerUp choices so it would be our own creation! :)
Oh yeah, no they do the same thing, there is multiple increase speed powerUps (I just didn't have time to code the powerUp randoms to be set so that the same wouldn't come up), so both are player speed.
Nice job on making it to the boss and beating it, it wasn't too easy for sure :D
