“soy una cucaracha”

estoy can mean different things

spanish words don’t always yk, mean the same thing

so like

soy means

i am

estoy means

i am

but like estoy is for like

estoy muy cansada

and stuff like that

soy just sounds for fluent 😭 (this is coming from a person who legit first language was spanish but sorta lost the accent bc of how much i speak english)

Oh... soy estĂșpida

I can't tell the difference- in my defense I have never learned Spanish in my entire life so-

exactlyyy

and it’s fine lmfaoo

Hola, soy Dora!

I can sing this one song in Spanish- like the whole entire song, and I have no clue how to speak Spanish- I only know what a few of the lyrics mean... sorta. That kinda reminds me of the dude who memorized the entire French scrabble dictionary and won the French scrabble championship without being able to speak any French. Like dude fr fr memorized the entire dictionary just to win the championship and not learn French at all, and I just memorized all the lyrics to a Spanish children's song just to be able to sing along while knowing little to no Spanish.

The dedication of the human race to never learning a new language 👍

Did I just blabber on about something completely pointless and only loosely related to what the topic was before? Yes, absolutely... I have no defense for myself on that one, unfortunately.

i mean spanish is such a beautiful language, cuz like english can say “love”,  but like spanish is like: “amor, cariño,” and such and such, so like, ykkkk…and honestly i can pronounce certain things in english because of like, accent? i don’t know, but i know i don’t have an accent, it’s like, it’s confusing 😭

I know how to say "I love you" in Spanish! I mean, a lot of non-spanish speakers can as well but I like to think I'm special because I can!

Te quiero is "I love you" but in a way that can be used for anything, family, friends etc.

Te amo is "I love you" but you probably shouldn't say it to your family, or else you might just get into all kinds of trouble-

See, I'm so big brain. I'm so smart. My brain is so wrinkly smart. I'm no stinky smooth brain...

Wdym a lot of people already know that and me knowing that doesn't prove anything, no, you're just jealous that I'm such a genius!

Also, I get it, it's like when I speak Korean, which I can speak pretty well, but some words just don't click for some reason, I don't have an accent, I speak really good Korean but for some reason I cannot pronounce certain words for the life of me. Like 바볮 for some reason I can't pronounce even though it's an easy af word.

Also I once tried to learn Spanish using Duolingo but I forgot my lessons for more than a year now and Duo hasn't given my family back yet so I should probably start doing them soon-

i mean, i say “te amo” to my mom every morning, because i love her, i don’t rlly say “te querio”, bc i just got used to say “te amo”. te amo doesn’t mean it have to be said to a lover, you can say it to parents and they understand, so it’s not wrong..🙌

but saying

“pinche puta malagradecida, vete a la verga gĂŒey” …is um..very..yeah..

well yeah, it's just more commonly something to say to a SO rather than anything else-

I know one of those words means bitch! Puta.

The rest of the sentence- I had to Google it.

I probably shouldn't be so proud about knowing what "bitch" in Spanish is and yet not knowing most other words...
