Unfortunately, I was dumb when creating the project. When I designed the project, I didn't create the images to be full-screen. I would have to re-export everything and re-position them. I don't know if it would be worth the effort . I just say screw it and add it even though the images will be blurry and ugly. Maybe I should chalk it up to a good learning experience. I think I might do the export if the post LD version gets good traction on here or NewGrounds.
To answer your question yes it's intentional I never planned on making a game bigger than a just playing the browser and didn't even consider it. =[
