The new version of MGG is now available on Itch! Complete stylist for players, adds payment to Monster stylist, and many bug fixes and adjustments. Check out the full changelog here: https://noxdev.itch.io/monster-girl-garden/devlog/519118/129b

Hey so I downloaded the update and got a message "Failed to open descriptor file ../../../MGG/MGG.uproject.

Is it possible to be fixed without reinstalling? I would rather not lose my progress haha.

Oh, that sounds like a build error, I'm surprised this is the first I've heard of it! I might just have to reupload the files. Your save should be safe, as it's in a separate folder in AppData

Yeah it appears something went wrong. I use the Itch App and the update is not really doing anything (I've updated the game before with no issues.) I click update and it appears to do something, but then goes back to giving me the option to update again. The latest change-log file is still 1.28, but now I can't open the game haha.

Update, I downloaded the new version on its own and it does appear to be corrupted

Thank you for letting me know, I"ve reuploading the files. Definitely tell me if the problem persists

Ok so, If you download it as a basic zip and extract it, it works just fine. However, if you download it from the app, it isn't actually fully downloading it and causes it to become corrupted. This just started happening as of this update so I'm not sure what you changed that could have caused this. Since the save files are separate it is not a huge deal to me personally, but if anyone else tries to play it through the app they will likely have the same issues. To clarify I am talking about the desktop app, which is quite nice and it handles updates great (usually lol).

I think the only way you would be able to replicate this is if you used the app yourself to see what i am talking about. It's difficult to describe what it does, but it seems to make a folder of game files that is just empty data.

For now, I shall just use the separate new version file.

Hmm, that's odd, I've never done anything different in the building and uploading procedure.
