Honestly? It comes across as the kiss is implied to come in another 3 seasons, during the sakura blooming festival or something.
Would it kill you to draw a kiss and put in before the credits roll? Game jam restrictions are way behind you now.

p.s. No pressure though, I know a job is a job and you gotta put food on the table before you mess around with your personal projects. But I also know how artists are, I am one of them. And unless people keep pressing you into it - you might never go back to finish the VN.
