PNG Sequence Export Settings?

Hi! Finally got around to trying this out, it's really cool!

I was wondering how the png sequences are exported in terms of quality? When importing for reference material, quality doesn't matter so much. But if I were to want it imported to exist in my scene, like the background in your dove example, how does it determine overall image quality? I ran a test exporting an image sequence from Silver vs Media Encoder's default PNG settings, and the Silver exports are about half the MB of the Media Encoder exports, and the image quality isn't as good as Media Encoder. So Silver wins on file size here, but not when needing high fidelity exports. That's not to say the image quality is unusable, I had to zoom in past 100% to see a significant difference, I'm just curious is all!

A couple other minor things I see that could improve this would be being able to change the size of the converter window, and maybe putting the compatible file types in the info box that pops up when hovering over the "Import Source Material" button. I wouldn't have known I could use gifs until I watched your explainer video.

Aside from that, it's honestly a really solid tool and I'm really excited to use it!

Hello Cydoni!
Thank you for  your post and feedback!
I looked into it and it seems to export images at 75% quality by default.
I'm planning to add an additional parameter  slider, where you can set the quality yourself, and also set the default to 95%, and also add an additional option where you can keep file size low as an option.

The supported import formats are   PNG,  GIF,  BMP,  JPG,  JPEG, WEBP,  TGA,  TIFF,  WMF, ICO, APNG,  MP4.
I thought that might be a little bit long for an info box, but I will see if it fits.
I understand the utility of resizing the window, but   it   is more complicated than I  would like it to be, to set it up correctly with correct proportions.
I will look into it however when I have the time to see if there's something I can do!

Thanks again for the feedback, and I will write you here if I have made some progress on it!

Hey Cydoni,

I just made an update to the software and you can now set the Export Quality for Jpeg exports via the settings button in the top right!

The formats took too much space inside the helper info box, but I added all the formats inside the format description of the browser window (on the bottom right).
I also used the opportunity to add support for Avi and Mpeg video import!

I did not find really any quality loss for png image sequences.
Is it possible for  you to send me the 2 images to compare, and maybe the video?
Half the size  of Media Encoder seems like a lot.  馃 (You can also send it on Discord   LionInABox#5652 in case you prefer).

That's what I could do for now.
