hopefully closed testing should start up again around september, u0.7.x kinda sucked (like, really bad) because it was rushed out in 3 days. i've been working on u0.8.6 for about the past few months, with a prototype build of u0.8.1 releasing about a year or so ago, but it was basically just u0.7.x with some minor improvements. i've been working on 0.8.6 for a while now, and it's basically an entirely different game than before, but it still sucks lol
