The concept is interesting enough, I think it would be nice to add the ability to retain gases with a cork or duct tape, perhaps this would increase the belly a bit more. You could also change the behaviour of the belly and filler depending on what it's filled with, at least the response to stroking would be different from filling with fish or water. Here's an idea, so to speak.
