Is it intentional that the weapon named "Recoilless Rifle" is a cannon, and the weapon named "Autocannon" is a rifle?
Yup! (real life Recoilless rifles would, realistically, be considered "launchers" in lancer terms, or maybe cannons, and Autocannons in real life are rifled. Weapon terminology in real life is as arbitrary as it is in lancer.)
