I've been trying for days and I still don't know how to mod. I just need some help like someone to explain in a very dumbed down manner how you mod cause I've tried everything and I can't get any mod to work

Are you trying to install mods, or make some?

To install mods, first extract them to the mod folder, users/appdata/roaming/Strive for Power 2/mods. Then, from the main menu mods section, select a mod on the right, press the left arrow, click ok, close, and restart the program.

To make a mod, the easiest way is to find one that does something similar to what you want to do and modify it.

I'm trying to download mods. What I download isn't compressed (at least I don't think it is) so I don't know if I'm not understanding correctly or if I'm downloading the wrong thing. What I download is a RAR file whatever that is.

RAR is a compressed file, like zip. Free programs like winRAR or 7zip can take care of that just fine.

Okay I downloaded winRAR and now I just need help with finding where to extract it to I can't seem to find this "users/appdata/roaming/Strive for Power 2/mods". I did find a mod folder but when I extracted any mods there it didn't seem to work. I appreciate the help you've given me so far.

What OS are you running?  What's the file path of the mods folder you found?

Windows and I'm not sure what a file path is but the mod folder was in Textures_v2 which was in the assets folder

Ah, ok.  That's a different mods folder.

Open up a file explorer window,  and click in the navigation bar (where it has a list of folders, with the last one being the one you're currently in) and type "%appdata%" (with the percent signs before and after).   If that doesn't work, you can manually go to C:\Users\[your username]\AppData .  This folder is hidden by default, so if you're browsing to get there, you might need to enable "view hidden files and folders" in Windows.

Within that you should find the Roaming\Strive for Power 2\ folder.  It probably already has a "mods" folder under there, but if it doesn't, you can create one.

It worked thanks so much for the help!

Did you start the game after extracting the archive, made sure it has its own folder, and then opened the mods options in the main menu? You should see the name of the mod on the right.

Yes and I didn't see the name.
