Cheers man - I think the problem is I start on 4 health, so have to use heal straight away.
ouch - yeah it's a tough fight, the advice ash gave is the way. If you gotta heal right off the bat try to maintain distance and use your ranged attack on the mob until your heal is closer to its cooldown
I'll give it a blast - love the game by the way - best I've played in years!
