im not sure what's causing it. it might be the new way to compile it which was necessary for the 64 bit version, but now also used for the 32 bit version. Next release I'll revert it for the 32 bit version which will hopefully fix the issues.
A workaround might be to uninstall the current version if you have one installed, and then install the new one (but be warned as that also wipes your saves unless you back them up)
