Thanks a lot for the advice. I did actually that and got the exact responses you said! I did end up getting some gigs. I feel like I have a nice Resume and am willing to work a lot for free and it's still really hard to find someone who's willing to do this as work. Do you have a place where i should ask beside reddit?
Anywhere people post about games in development, especially if you can sort by status. On indie.db you can browse games that are unreleased, coming soon, or early access which helps narrow down the list right away. The Itch browser doesn't seem to have that but you can look at "most recent" or poke around the Devlogs, General Development, and Feedback sections of the forum. Make sure to check for signs that they already have music, although that doesn't always mean they wouldn't hire you to replace free assets or to add to what they already have.
Sorry this is off topic from what you two are talking about, but also not - I'm having trouble with Discord, but I got to listen to some samples you had on artist.io and I think I'd like to work with you :-) I also don't expect you to work for free, you're far too good for that!
