what do you guys think about the perk of the privateer set that increases that max level of water gem to 5. im not an expert but it seems this isn't really that useful for non spender. looks like only the mythic from the moonlighter, tomb raider and the privateer sets can really benefit from this perk but that would require leveling the abilities to high or max level with water libidos.

As a non spender i don't know whether this or the +100%dmg but abilities charge 12 gems slower perk is more useless.

The +100% dmg and +12 tiles to charge are not so bad, you can use it well in WB and Colosseum either for defense (against the all-rare decks fully charged before the first turn) or to slow down the charging of the boss in WB, or just boost your girls when there are level up for two different colors. In the tower it is not predictable enough for me.

In my opinion the current one, the level up to V is less interesting, but we will see how to use it. I'm sure I will love it in green for the WB fights.

Buy the way, I'm a little bit disappointed that the start with three gems charged ability just have copied around all the colors. Of course with the diversity of the previous abilities it isn't a big deal, the decks in different colors are still different, but if it happens with a few abilities, those differences disappear gradually.

Thanks for explaining the 100%+ dmg but 12 gems slower perk usage. I never made any real progress in world boss so i never thought of that. I've always saw it as nothing but an inferior version of the +100% dmg perk because i thought they are running out of ideas. The "game starts with 3 gem charged" perk also seems like an inferior version of the abilities charge 3 gems faster perk because the former can only be used once in each battle, or is it supposed to work better in some situations?

The "start with 3 gems charged" and the "charge 3 gems faster" are work well together: if you have both in your deck, your rare cards with the same color will be charged before the 1st turn. In this case choose 3 or 4 rare cards with stronger abilities and make your deck complete with 1 or 2 highly upgraded mythic, just include both perks, and you can hit dead a lot of enemies in the first turn. You must have seen that in the Colosseum or in the Tower from some opponents. I use this in the Colosseum now and then and it works fine, but in the tower my cards are not strong enough for it.

Of course you can use the combined strength of these perks only in the same color, which is another nail in the coffin of multicolor decks.
