***HOW TO INSTALL AND USE JOIPLAY FOR ANDROID***

As Eternum grows and progresses, the file will eventually become too large to use in .apk format, the best way around this is to Joiplay, an emulator service. In order to use Joiplay, you must download the PC version instead of the Android version.

What you'll need:

1. The newest Joiplay update

2. The newest RenPy plugin

3. A file managing app (I recommend File Manager +)

3. The PC version of Eternum

Here's how to do it:

1. Go to the Joiplay Patreon and find the most recent public release on their page, *you must download both Joiplay and the RenPy plugin.* *Do not use the version found on the app store, it is outdated and you will get bugs.*

2. Once you have downloaded both files, install Joiplay and open the app. In the lower right corner there will be a + icon, press it and select "install package." Find your RenPy plugin in your files and import it. This may no longer be necessary, it was when I downloaded it but I've been using it for some time and can't remember the exact details. If you can't find the file, simply try opening the RenPy APK file. One of those methods should work.

3. That done, use your file manager to unzip Eternum. Try not to bury your game files too deep, I've noticed strange bugs if the file path is too long.

4. Return to Joiplay and press the + again, and press "add game"

Enter the game's name and version number when it asks (doesn't necessarily need to be correct) and then press "choose."

Find the EXE file and import it. It will ask for an icon, add one if you wish but it isn't needed.

That should be all you need to get your game up and running, if you encounter animations ending prematurely you can try enabling "HW Video" and "Model Based Rendering" and disabling "Less Updates" all of which are found in the RenPy section of settings. Ultimately, the performance of the game will only be as good as your hardware allows
