Bugs: 

(As mentioned in another comment) Main character can avoid the platforms by walking straight-forwards and still win the game. (This makes the platforms lose their purpose)

Strengths: 

Art-style is colourful and undetailed which suits the (presumably) toy-like style of the game.

Game includes a sound effect for jumping to make the game more interactive.

Background is detailed and uses darkness and lightness to simulate a 3-dimensional environment.

Weaknesses: 

Game is very short and has very few mechanics

Changes or Improvements: 

increase the number and height of the platforms, add more parts to the game (there are currently only 2 platforms, maybe make more and/or a mechanic where if the soldier misses a jump and falls down, they have to restart the level)
