Neat little game. Others have already referenced the debug that takes away a bit of the fun. But I also get that the game might’ve been a bit too difficult to get without it. A proper explanation of the mechanics would help.

Other than that it’s great!

I’m morally conflicted on your use of AI for this project. I understand that it’s a quick and easy way to get polished art into your game (and it looks great!). And I also think it’s important to clarify the use of AI like you’re doing. But in all contexts other than a jam I’d be much more against it. Thanks for showing me how AI can be used and thank you also for acknowledging its use (at least on this submission page)

Thank you so much for your reply, And I totally agree, we are making an updated version now with a little bit of clarification and removing the debug option.
We are really grateful you like it.

As for the AI, I agree with you, It's our first time using AI in games dev, and the decision to join this Jam is actually to explore what we can do. with it.

We have conflicted feelings as well, for Midjourney I personally feel like when I was a kid and isn't capable of defeating a certain level in a game, So I get my older brother to defeat it for me and then brag to my friends that I finished the game. you can't feel the accomplishment. But at the same time, it's perfect for a game jam, you can very quickly and easily explore ideas with images you wouldn't normally be able to do, or you would have added a lot of boring text.

For ChatGPT, I think it's really good, It's like a brainstorming session with a friend, you get lots of inspiration and help, Although it helped with writing a decent text but all the content in the game is originally ours, it rewrote it into proper English.

And yea everyone who is using them should be acknowledging that, and don't worry the game is not public so only the people from the jam would see it, hence the acknowledgment is in the submission page alone.

Thank you again for your awesome comment and glad you liked it, and glad you gave us the opportunity actually to share our experience with you.

Best of luck

Loved it! The idea of paper please in a cthulhu theme really is fun! Loved the win screen too, “You win ! Humanity is doomed”, sounds funny ahah

Thank you!, And yea we had a laugh at it too :D.
We had tons of ideas that "of course" we didn't have the time to add. hopefully one day we can

NICE GAMES congrats to you two for making a games inspired by (paper please)its was a great idea and totally fit whith the theme

but there a big mistake in your games your debug to said if its the impostor or a cultist is show to the player so he look at the debug and sacrifice if its write impostor or accept him if its write cultist you need to fix it

nice art btw

Developer

Oh, Thank you, it really means a lot.
As for the mistake yes, it was a last minute discussion and we decided to leave it because we were afraid we didn't put enough information to let the player know how to know if this is an imposter or not so it might lead to frustration, but you are right, we are going to remove it and update the version.

Thank you again for your kind words and support.
