yk I never believed people when they said their cats hide their mating calls from then today I was just chilling and I heard Sugar meowing and surprise surprise it was a mating call so I get up and he hears me and just goes silent... I go to the hallway and he's just staring at me like "what, no, I didn't do anything, what're you talking about" and then I called him over and he sat down and acted like it never happened.
He never USED to hide his mating call but now he's only doing it when he thinks everyone else is asleep and as soon as he realized I was awake he shut up so fast-
