I guess, I'll try to start with 2d in unity, my idea can be modified for a top down of terror and stealth, I imagine that unity will still work? thanks for answering =)

I second what our friend here said. Most people spend so much time researching the best game engine that would exactly fit their needs.

I remember falling into that rabbit hole when I first started showing interest in making games.

I settled on learning the most beginner-friendly engines like Godot and Game Maker Studio.

Try and have fun. The engine won't matter much if you end up not enjoying using it.

That's what I'm going to do, I'll try to do little things, Godot also made me very curious, you what else do you use now?

I wish you all the best! Right now I'm dabbling in pixel art. Focusing too much on the technical side of game-making bored me a little.

I just started enjoying the process again by working on ai-aided concept art.

I'm honestly taking my sweet time. We as new devs have time on our hands. Ai tools keep advancing and it's making the learning process so much more accessible and easier to go through.

A little advice I would like to give you. Keep Chatgpt open in your browser at all times. At any point during your learning when you get stuck at something or just can't get to understand it well, ask the ai.

That should accelerate your learning and make it enjoyable quite a lot.

It's like having a friend that helps you be there for you at all times.

That is it, that has motivated me a lot, I had been learning shader programming for a long time in various programs and now that I'm getting into the world of creating games it's like an illusion that I didn't even know I had hahaha, I wish you the best too, thank you very much for all!!

Best of luck! Take your time and enjoy the process. If you're ever in the mood to work on something together, I can help out with the story and concept art side of things. Til then, take care 🎁

Of course I would really like !! it when I have a little more experience, a big hug =)

Yes, right after Blender and Maya, I studied all the shader graph nodes that come with Unity.

I didn't see Godot before either, but he's not bad at all.

wow, I thought those two engines were the same haha, what's the difference?
