after two days i finally finished it! i got one of the bad endings first and i got so upset so i searched frantically for a guide and (luckily!) i found one and i ended up with a good (romance) ending with kay. i haven't played clive's route but i plan on it tomorrow! and then the next book with shannon and lana as well, and then book three whenever it comes out :D (i will be on the lookout) oh my god that is the best visual novel i have ever played. i haven't played much vns but i know for sure that this one is #1 and will always hold a special place in my heart. the amount of times i cried and the amount of times i audibly gasped??? the twists were so so good yet so unexpected. the ending was so good and i loved the little end scene with them. this game was so perfect and i cannot express it enough. you are an amazing writer/developer and i am giving u virtual props right now. i hope you can hear the applauding i'm giving you right now. thank you to everyone who worked on this game because everything about it was so perfect. ok sorry this is so long its 3 am right now and i am ugly crying writing this. also p.s. i forgot to add this but (spoiler) i'm actually kind of ???glad??? the ending didn't automatically show kay with all of his memories back if that makes sense. you perfectly showed that recovery is not a linear progress and it takes time. although the past was something that still took a lot of time and energy to try and remember, the present and the memories they make now is what really matters to them. that's atleast a little bit of what i got from kay's complicated mind. he wanted to fill in the memories that were missing with ones he can truly keep and hold. i also think that the topic of therapy and getting help was obviously a big step near the ending of the book and i think you portrayed and dug into that so well. you made everything feel so realistic even with all the little fantasy aspects to it which made it so nice to read.
