I think it's really cool that you stumbled up on this game, since it's awesome for me too to meet another person, who notices that there are too little female protagonists in games and is deciding to do something about that.
This isn't a full released game, we made this game part time in a week for a game jam and uploaded it in it's unfinished state, to make the deadline.
The updated version of today fixes most issues that you faced.
I didn't think anyone who doesn't know the context of the jam would already play this game, but I love that you did. But at the same time it was painful to watch all the struggles you had and I hope you try out the new version and have a better experience.
And I think the heroine is fine, since I'm also wearing skirts and knee socks in winter <3
