Thank you! And yes! Yanderes are more common in visual novels, maybe because to like VNs, you must have liked anime/manga at some point before, where you were introduced to the yandere trope. Kinda like a pipeline.
And you don't have to like anime/manga beforehand to enjoy IFs. At most, you can find some toxic romances, but true yandere characters are a rarity.
Also, I feel like VNs (and their consumers) allow for more disturbing content and unhealthy LIs than IFs do.
But this is just my theory, of course!
