We're currently investigating this bug, but no matter how hard we tried, we literally can not reproduce it on our end. Are you playing on Android? 

(Sorry for late reply) No, I am currently playing on Windows. But its fine, Ive been playing without saves. I just... keep the game open and leave my laptop running overnight...

Hm, that's the first time we hear about it happening on PC version. Knowing that this bug is not exclusive to Android version might help to pin point the cause.

If possible, could you also send us your save file? That would help a lot!

In the ACADEMY34 folder there is a [game] folder — inside there is [saves], all your saves should be there.

Just upload the save on dropbox or mega and send us the link!

Also to fix the issue you could try removing the checkmark on the [academy34] folder on the "Read-only" parameter (no guarantee it will solve anything):
