I mean, I'm not saying "not allowed", I'm saying unsupported. There are supported options!

But it's cold out there in the real world, and on an open platform, life happens, and they stray from The Good Workflow. Nevertheless, the app tries its best to get anything it can to run, within certain rules. TL;DR: if you cannot use butler, just upload a .zip.

I've downloaded several games through the app with more than 1GB. Including one that was over 20GB. You can also connect to Patreon.

Try to upload two times 9gb via butler and I’ll do it too. Don’t talk about things you don’t know.

And what is  mean “unsupported”? I literally have a button called “link for external file”.

You have no idea how much the limit is for uploading directly to itch, do you? To help you out, I'll give you a hint: 1 gb.

If you beg, they'll double it for you.

Clearly you don't read what I write to you at all.  Since you don't want to hear it, then just download games that are uploaded via Butler. I can’t  offer you nothing else. That way your problem will be solved.

When you want a nice game client, download ALL of the games from Steam. NOT HERE. Sorry.
