We are not sure to understand the issue. Is it a black screen, or are you stuck in the main menu?
If it is the case, are you playing with a controller ? Else, to start the game, you need to push both triggers to the maximum.
Note that few controllers type have trouble getting connected and the game plays better with analog triggers.
