If you bought the game on itch.io then you have access to all the latest builds, just download it the files section. There's no internal update mechanism in the game at the moment, we will probably include one soon.
i downloaded but when I open the diary I am not able to return to the main gamescreen , I am stuck in the diary page . Is this a bug ore am I doing something wrong?

We just re-activated the deprecated versions of ALIS so you can download them.But we are currently investigating the bug because you are not the only one reporting it. We making a new debug build and testing on various machines.May we ask what version of Windows you are currently running?

That's strange because our latest beta build fixed the issue of another player with a similar resolution as you.You downloaded ALIS_TFC_WIN64_BETA_2.0.1 build and installed it if I understand correctly?So you still can't see the close button in diary window?
