The game will not detect my xbox one controller, is there any way to enable it?

That's strange, could you please tell us some more info? Like what OS are you using, or what model is your XBox controller? Is it a wired one?
When using an Xbox controller it should work directly just fine, but if it doesn't you can always emulate the keyboard using AntiMicro (https://github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro) or AntiMicroX (https://github.com/AntiMicroX/antimicrox).
Please let us know if you could solve the problem.
I'm on Windows 10 (up to date), the controller is 8th Gen, model 4N6-00001 and I'm using it wired. It works with other games/steam games, but no input is detected in AHNW.
I'll give it a try with AntiMicro and report back
