Renpy is the best game engine ever developed. I can't explain to you why, it's just too far outside your knowledge, but trust me. This Python script that makes words appear on the screen alongside pictures and music is the future of gaming. Gabe Newell has been working for years, using all the accumulated knowledge and resources of Valve to bring you Half Life 3 powered by Renpy. This may seem surprising or bizarre but listen, you just don't have the knowledge to comprehend what makes Renpy the absolute pinnacle of the game engine scene. I know you have questions, but you're literally not mentally equipped for me to be able to explain to you the inherent and peerless superiority of this amazing little engine that can produce images and sounds, scroll text along the screen at whatever speed you choose, and get this, it does it on Mac, PC, AND mobile. If you're not building your game in Renpy, I just dont know what to say to you. The unparalleled optimization at work means when you click on one of two possible options to get three different lines of text in a scene, the feedback is immediate. Do you realize how much of a difference that makes? When I click things in other games there's sometimes a 0.0001ms lag between my click and the feedback itself, and that creates a barrier between the player and the game, an impregnable psychic rift that will forever hold them back from experiencing your game the way you intended it. Are you even still playing a game at that point? Or are you just playing a disappointment simulator?
