I've seen this issue before with people's antivirus/firewall deleting the doodads js. Not sure why it happens with some folks' machines. Check that the file is still in the js folder and that your system isn't deleting it and you should be good, let me know how it goes and good luck.
You are correct. I deleted the zip file and the extracted file and redownloaded it all over again. I then tried to copy and paste the Doodads.js thing from the zip file into the relevant file in the extracted game files and my virus protection was automatically deleting it. Preventing that allowed the game to run properly.
